A re-imagination of a classic

Located at the very top of one of Brisbane’s best entertainment precincts, Caxton Street, The Lord Alfred was established in the 19th century and was named the Prince Alfred in 1868 following the announcement of the Prince sailing to Australian soils sent by his Mother, Queen Victoria. Now in its 150th year and having played part in many Brisbanite’s youth, The Lord Alfred is being carefully restored with much consideration to its historic relevance. However, the key influence for the new owners was community, to create a place of rest, relaxation and entertainment where the locals and tourists felt at home. All eight areas of the pub are being cleverly and thoughtfully transformed to create beautiful environments modelled around classic eras including the 40’s 50’s, 60’s and early 70’s. Now a relaxed, cool and breezy venue, The Lord Alfred has a warm and welcoming feel attracting social engagement.
